Liberal Democrats Election Manifesto

The Liberal Democrats Election Manifesto was launched on 15th April. We stand for a stronger economy and a fairer society. 

Some of our key points are:

• We stand for investment into the NHS, for improvement of the mental health services, and in particular better provision of mental health services for children, adolescents and young adults.
• We aim to extend free childcare to all children above 2.
• We want to raise the tax free personal allowance to £12,500.
• We aim to have a third of our electricity consumption covered from renewable energy sources by 2020.
• We plan to double the number of apprentices and to reduce the cost of bus passes for people under 21.
• We stand for the protection of freedom rights and aim to pass in the Parliament a new Digital Bill of Rights to protect our personal freedom and privacy in the digital world.
